Scinovus Crafted, the developer of the Games Bot Discord bot ("the Bot"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Bot collects, how that information is used, and how it is safeguarded when you use the Bot.
The Bot collects only the following:
/vote command, or vote for the Bot on Top.gg, your numeric
Discord user ID is stored along with your vote streak count and the
timestamps of your votes. This is what allows the Bot to show your
voting streak.
/hangman,
/guess, /ttt and /connect4. After
you start one of these games, the Bot reads your next message in that
channel as your move. It reads only messages sent in the channel where
the game is running, only from the players taking part in that game, and
only during the 30-second window while it waits for a move. Your message
is used to work out the move and is then discarded. It is never saved,
logged, or stored anywhere.
The Bot does not collect or store your messages outside of an active game, your presence or online status, your activity, or any list of the members of the servers it is in.
The information described above is used only to:
Your data is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not used to train machine learning or AI models.
The data described above is stored outside of Discord, in a MongoDB database. The Bot itself runs on Heroku. Vote information is retrieved from Top.gg, which has its own privacy policy covering your use of that site. No message content is sent to, or stored by, any of these services.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except for the hosting and voting services described above, which are required for the Bot to function, or where disclosure is required by law.
Having your messages read is entirely optional and entirely up to you. The
Bot only reads a message if you personally started /hangman,
/guess, /ttt or /connect4, or were
named as the opponent in a game, and only while your move is pending. If
you never use those four commands, no message of yours is ever read. The
Bot's other games and commands never read messages at all.
You may request that your stored user ID and vote streak data be deleted at any time in the Games Bot support server. Because no message content is retained, there is nothing of that kind to delete.
We implement security measures to protect stored information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure.
The Bot is not directed to anyone below the minimum age required to use Discord in their country, and we do not knowingly collect information from such users.
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the Bot after those changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
